Reconnecting through Yoga

“Yoga is much more than a practice that starts and ends on the mat. It is a lifestyle that incorporates a way of living in alignment with mother nature herself. It is the awareness of her in you. The awareness of the food we put in our bodies, awareness of the words we speak, awareness of our karma, awareness of acts and so much more.”

Nai’s Yogic Journey

Nai’s yogic journey is deeply rooted in her expertise in movement therapy, where she weaves together the transformative power of breath, meditation, and mindful movement. Her philosophy extends far beyond the mat, inviting students to carry the principles of yoga—balance, harmony, and flow—into their daily lives.

On the mat, breathwork and movement are tools for cultivating strength, flexibility, and inner peace, guiding the body to move with grace and minimal resistance. Off the mat, these practices become a compass for navigating life’s challenges with greater ease and mindfulness.
The Afrikan yoga system of Hudu is also central to her teachings, embracing ancestral wisdom that grounds the practice in a deep cultural and spiritual connection.
Yoga teaches us that by aligning breath with intention, we can unlock stillness amidst chaos, strength within vulnerability, and flexibility in the face of life’s inevitable shifts.. These principles are not confined to dynamic postures; they are a way of life—an embodiment of living with awareness and authenticity.

When we allow the breath to guide us, we discover that life flows effortlessly, inside and out, above and below, here and now. True yoga begins where the breath takes us—cultivating stillness, balance, and flexibility in the mind, knowing the body will always follow.

After travelling to both Uganda and India to deepen my practice I became aware that the perspective of yoga in the Western world was very much about the flexibility of the body and not necessarily about yoga as a whole lifestyle

Working alongside authentic yoga masters has helped nourish my path and still keeps me moving steadily on my yoga path.
